Building Trust and Ensuring Accountability

With many nonprofit organizations competing for public attention and donations, skepticism can often be an understandable response. Many great organizations are doing meaningful and impactful work in alleviating suffering and lack.  Some may talk a good talk but don’t deliver.  

The Clear Mercy Movement is focused on building trusted, long-lasting relationships and honoring the giver, YOU, and their desire to bring lasting change to the recipients of their hard-earned generosity. 

To help new partners feel they are dealing with an ethical, reliable, trustworthy organization, some partners start by giving a small, recurring donation to see how accountable CMM is and build trust over the long term. Others ponder it, and some call us on the phone or arrange a Zoom call to understand better and then feel more comfortable donating. We want you to feel comfortable and invite you to engage with us.  It’s important for you to feel comfortable and safe in your every transaction. Just let us know any questions or concerns you have at any point. 

As philanthropists and change-makers, it is crucial to understand the reasons behind this skepticism and find ways to overcome it. Convincing a skeptic of a charity’s value, legitimacy, and accountability can be challenging, and we can surely relate. 

What we do, and why!  

People need to understand the ‘why’ before they are convinced about the ‘how’ and ‘what’.   We have learned personally the value and appreciation of being transparent about these questions to help a skeptic understand the necessity and relevance of The Clear Mercy Movement. (CMM)

We are an international, non-governmental (501c3) humanitarian aid organization providing various types of aid in emergencies in over 70 nations. We have over 20 years of experience working with embedded, trusted partners in delivering this aid and providing accountability.  We have distributed over $100 million in disaster relief in gifts in kind and cash and helped over 1 million people globally. 

Communication is key!

Regular, clear communication about the CMM’s activities, impact, and finances keeps you in the loop.. Newsletters, social media updates, annual reports—all these tools maintain transparency and foster trust.
